A diary for your dog

One photo a day.
Their whole life, kept.

Puppy Eyes keeps a page for every day with your dog and turns the pages into films, cards and stickers. On your phone, with nothing uploaded anywhere.

Download on theApp StoreFree to start. iPhone, iOS 18 and up.
The Today page in Puppy Eyes: a golden retriever running, day 131, four days in a row
A Then and Now card: the same dog as an eight-week puppy and at six months
How it works

A page a day. That's the whole job.

  1. Take the photo, or let it find one.

Snap today's face. Or let Puppy Eyes look through your library on the phone, spot your dog, and pick the best shot from each day. You tick what stays.

  2. Add a line if you like.

A note, a mood, a milestone. First swim, puppy class graduate, stole a sock again. On supported iPhones it'll suggest a caption from what's in the photo.

  3. Watch the films happen.

The days become films with music: the story so far, a birthday, gotcha day, growing up. Made on the phone in about a minute, no upload.

Films

Years from now, a film of their whole life.

Six templates, four pieces of music, and every day you've kept. The Story So Far plays from the first page to today. Growing Up runs a photo a week, fast, so you see them change. Birthday and Gotcha Day films arrive on the day.

  • Ken Burns motion on every photo
  • A second of video a day, with its own sound
  • Dates and notes as captions
  • Made on the phone, ready in a minute
Then and now

Day one beside today.

One card, two photos, the number of days between them. It's the thing people send to the family group chat, and it makes itself. There's a card for the week and one for the month too.

Stickers

Your dog, in every group chat.

Hold any photo, choose Make a sticker, and your dog is cut out with a white edge, ready in the Messages sticker drawer. It's the feature people don't expect and then use every day.

The stickers page: a grid of nine cut-outs of the same golden retriever
The Days calendar: September and August as grids of dog photos, with the gaps left honest
Every day

Every day, kept. Gaps and all.

The calendar is the diary. Scroll back through months of faces, filter by milestone, tap any day to open it. A home screen widget shows today's page, and quick add lives in Control Center and on the Action button, so a photo takes two taps from anywhere.

  • Widgets for the home and lock screen
  • Quick add from Control Center
  • Daily reminder, at the hour you pick
  • Streaks, but gentle ones
Forever

When they're gone, the diary stays.

Forever mode turns the reminders off, keeps every page, and puts a random day on the front so you can visit. There's a quieter piece of music for the films. We hope you don't need it for a very long time.

Questions people ask

Do I have to take a photo every single day?

No. Gaps are part of a real diary and the calendar shows them honestly. The app also looks through your library for days you missed and offers to fill them in.

My dog is already three. Is it too late?

Not at all. On the first run it looks back through your camera roll, finds your dog, and builds the diary from the photos you already have. Most people start with months of days on day one.

Where do my photos go?

Nowhere. They stay on your phone. If you're signed in to iCloud they back up to your own private iCloud, which we can't see. There's no account, no upload and no tracking.

What does Pro add?

Full-length films with no watermark, every film template, unlimited stickers and more than one dog. The daily diary, the calendar, the first film and export are free for everyone, always.

Does it work with more than one dog?

Yes, with Pro. Each dog gets their own diary, films and stickers, and the app tells them apart in your library.
